Need Disaster/Catastrophe Response Around Edmonton and Northern Alberta?
Damage Inc.’s founder and president, Wade Meyer, is the authority in catastrophe response around Edmonton as he has personally handled over $100 million in catastrophe damage claims over two recent, significant, and notable events.
In 2013, Wade headed a response en masse to southern Alberta’s flooding disaster where he stationed a 200-man full-service labour camp that he staffed to mitigate, stabilize, and restore multiple structures to two school divisions that were severely affected by overland flooding. This work was a $35-million project with little to no local infrastructure to rely on.
In 2016’s wildfire in northern Alberta, the resulting evacuation of Fort McMurray while a fire tore through the community saw a significant mobilization led by Wade, including triage, scope, and quantum establishment for the local hospital and fire/smoke restoration to various institutional structures in two school divisions. All of this ended up exceeding $80 million. Wade had in excess of 500 technicians and laborers, encamped with hundreds of trades people. In one case, the entire HVAC duct system was removed and replaced in a 130,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art modern school with turnover deadlines being met prior to the start of the new school year in September 2016.
